COLUMBUS
Stephanie Louise Harris, 45, of Columbus, IN, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Stephanie was born on May 5, 1978, in Seymour, Indiana. She was the daughter of Willis W. and Vickie M. Weddell of Centerpoint, IN. On May 27, 2000, she married Joel E. Harris at St. John Lutheran Church (Sauers). Stephanie graduated from Crossett High School (Crossett, AR) in 1996 and received her bachelor’s degree in 2000 from the University of Arkansas at Monticello (Monticello, AR).
Stephanie was a Teacher’s Assistant for Kindergarten at Southside Elementary in Columbus, IN. She loved doing craft projects, gardening, photography, and above all else, being a mother.
She is survived by her husband; her children Hannah and Ethan Harris of Columbus, IN; her parents of Centerpoint, IN; two sisters, Olivia (Lam) Nguyen of Seymour, IN and Courtney (Stephen) Brannan of Brazil, IN; nieces Madison Murphy and Kimberly Cessor; nephews Jacob Murphy and Galen Cessor; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Willis H. and Georgia Weddell; grandparents Victor and Ona Kellermeier.
The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Old Carr High School at 10059 County Road 250 South Medora, Indiana 47260 on Saturday, June 24th, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. The visitation will be at the Old Carr High School on Saturday, June 24th, at 11:00 a.m.
Please wear some form of purple in honor of Stephanie.
