Michael Brinegar
Columbus native and Tokyo Olympian Michael Brinegar will compete in the 2023 USA Swimming Phillips 66 National Championships next week at IUPUI’s Indiana University Natatorium.
Brinegar will swim in the 1,500-meter freestyle on Tuesday, the 400 freestyle on June 30 and the 800 freestyle on July 1. He also will sign autographs from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday in the lobby of the natatorium.
The national championships serve as a qualifying meet for USA Swimming for the 2023 World Aquatics (formerly FINA) Championships July 23-31 in Fukuoku, Japan and the 2023 Pan American Games Oct. 21-25 in Santiago, Chile.
