COLUMBUS
Mary Ambs, 69, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on July 12, 2023 at Community Hospital South due to complications of lung cancer.
She was born on July 23, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Lowell and Barbara (Apple) Roberts. She met Michael Ambs in May of 1973 and the two of them moved to Columbus, Indiana. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this November 10th.
She is survived by Michael and her children, Matthew L Ambs and Jacob E Ambs. She was predeceased by her daughter Erin M Ambs and her parents Lowell and Barbara. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Carter Williams, Griffin and Emmett Ambs as well as her sister, Carol Kelly her husband Jim Kelly and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was a loving mother and wife, was creative and was happiest when listening to music and surrounded by family and loved ones.
