COLUMBUS
Eldon R. Lee, 77, of Columbus, passed from this life at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Lee was born April 16, 1946, in Clay County, Tennessee, the son of Haskell C. and Mary Verna Likens Lee.
He married Sandra K. Allen July 16, 1966.
Eldon retired from Sap’s Bakery in 2009 after 42 years of service.
Survivors include his wife Sandra of 57 years; daughters, Stephanie (Kenneth) Gross of Elizabethtown and Michella Lee of Columbus; granddaughter, Juliana (Eugene) Williams of Columbus; brother, Kenneth Lee of Red Bowling Springs, TN; and sisters, Betty Hamblen of Pontiac, MI and Gayle (Scottie) Wilburn of TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Haskell C. Lee Jr. and Jimmy D. Lee and his sisters, Loretta Mitchell and Geraldine Denton.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Tim Jarnagin officiating.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and 11:00 a.m. to time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
He will be laid to rest at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Bartholomew County Humane Society.
