COLUMBUS, INDIANA
James M. Murray, 65, of Columbus passed from this life on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. at Keepsake Village.
Mr. Murray was born on May 28, 1958, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of Samuel and Evelyn Hugenard Murray. After many years of service, he retired from the Bartholomew County Solid Waste District where he was the Director.
He had a tremendous love for traveling and cars.
Survivors include his daughter, Shelby Murray of Indianapolis; life-partner, Nancy Jo Robertson of Columbus; brother, Harry (Penny) Marshall; grandchildren, Lottie Schofner and Keelan DeJesus; and great grandchildren, Abigail Rigby and Harlan Rigby.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Terry Marshall; and one sister, Sherry Marshall.
In keeping with Mr. Murray’s wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
Services were entrusted to Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home.
In memory of Mr. Murray memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
