Largest cornhole tourney to benefit war memorial

The Indy Cornhole Classic is planned or Aug. 19 at the American Legion Mall.

INDIANAPOLIS — The first-ever Indy Cornhole Classic, which organizers are billing as the largest single-day cornhole tournament in the country, is coming to Indianapolis on Aug. 19 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the American Legion Mall.

The event is sponsored by the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs and all proceeds will benefit the Indiana War Memorial Foundation.

The event will include a competitive and a recreational tournament, a silent auction, and food and beer vendors. The competitive tournament is $70 per team with cash prizes and the recreational tournament is $40 per team with donated prizes.
