Using a bus donated by Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp., Columbus firefighters practiced stabilizing a 30,000-pound vehicle on its side, pivoting and lifting a bus resting on its top and using extrication equipment to cut open the bus to safely remove passengers.

Columbus Regional Hospital banned all latex “get well” balloons as a precautionary measure for those allergic to latex.

Nearly a thousand city and county customers of Public Service Indiana were left without electrical power for close to an hour after a car struck a wire to an electrical service pole.
