Bull Dogs prevail
BLOOMIGTON — Columbus North cruised to a 194-227 win against Bloomington North Monday at Cascades.
Erin Hopkins led the Bull Dogs with a 40. Lindsey Hartwell carded a 45, Kara Buntin added a 54, Ana Pavlov shot 55 and Harper Andresen had a personal-best 56.
East tops Artesians
MARTINSVILLE — Carter Gant and Grace LaSell tied for medalist honors with 42s to lead Columbus East to a 194-201 win against Martinsville at Foxcliff.
Ali Trueblood carded a 54 for the Olympians. Dyana Foster added a 56, Sophia Beasley shot 62 and Allison Sharpe had a 64.
Panthers fall to NA
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County came away with a 173-202 loss to New Albany at St. Anne’s.
Lauren Galvan led the Panthers with a 44. Aslynn Hopkins carded a 50, Shelby Davis added a 53, Dakota Carr shot 55 and Amilia Gresham had a 61.

North ties Franklin
FRANKLIN — Columbus North outshot Franklin 16-3, but the Grizzly Cubs scored on two of their shots in a 2-2 tie.
Avery Baker and Anna Donica scored goals for the Bull Dogs (1-1-1). Gabby Spurgeon had an assist.
Erica Kaufman recorded one save.
East falls to Panthers
Class 3A No. 12 Bloomington South scored six times in the first half and went on to post a 7-0 win at Columbus East.
Kate Stiles posted eight saves, and Emma Christie added one save for the Olympians (0-3).

Jets fall to Raiders
VERSAILLES — Hauser took the third set, but South Ripley finished off a 25-15, 25-23, 21-25, 27-25 victory.
Kenze Bostic led the Jets (3-5) with 15 kills and three aces. Kayden Miller recorded 34 assists, Aniston Bostic had five blocks, Gracie Blair notched 17 digs and Mattie Foster served three aces.
Also for Hauser, Aniston Bostic tallied 11 kills and two aces, and Miller and Maley Jordan each pounded five kills. Blair had four assists, Foster and Jordan each added two assists, Paige McDaniel contributed three blocks, Haylin Campbell had 13 digs and Kenze Bostic added two blocks and 12 digs.
Columbus Christian falls
Columbus Christian opened its season with a 25-15, 25-20, 25-15 to Horizon Christian.
Emma Murray led the Crusaders with four kills, four digs and five aces. Abby Dora recorded three assists, and Yana Foster notched four digs.
Also for Columbus Christian, Bella Fredrickson pounded one kill, Emma Sewell had one assist and Paige Harden served two aces.

Lancers blank Jackets
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh opened its season with a 5-0 Mid-Hoosier Conference win against Morristown.
Austin Brockman won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Milas Burkman rolled 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles and Bailey Totten posted a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at No. 3 singles for the Lancers. Edinburgh won both doubles positions by forfeit.
Pirates edge Panthers
GREENSBURG — Greensburg won three matches in straight sets to pull out a 3-2 win against Jennings County.
Parker Bales beat Dan Fisse 6-2, 5-1, retired at No. 1 singles for the Panthers (0-3). Brady Sentz and Ty Zohrlaut topped Justin Adkins and Lance Coy 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
Jennings’ Issac Lightner fell to Mason McNulty 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and Rider Ruddick lost to Jacob Duerstock 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Ryan Schuck and Cole Skinner fell to Jack McKinsey and Maurice Beaver 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.
