OLDENBURG — Columbus East won four matches in straight sets Monday in a 4-1 boys tennis win at Oldenburg Academy.
Erik Takahashi beat Clay Eckstein 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Tyler Ernst blakned Jonah Short 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles for the Olympians (2-3). Ethan Bumbalough and Jacob Dettmer topped Jack Freeland and Zach Phillips 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Henry Ulrich and Iynigo Tan defeated Carson Phillips and Grant Rosenberger 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.
East’s Brady Redelman fell to Grant Glodsmith 6-2, 3-6, (11-9) a No. 2 singles.
