NORTH VERNON — Jennings County handed Columbus East its first Hoosier Hills Conference volleyball loss of the season Tuesday, a 25-19, 25-16, 25-18 setback.
Charlee Barlow pounded 14 kills, Avynn Belding had six blocks, Mallory Manowitz notched 20 digs and Sydney Kegley served three aces to lead the Panthers (3-2, 2-2).
Also for Jennings, Belding added 11 kills. Kegley and Martin each tallied four blocks.
Jenna Guse recorded eight kills and two aces, and Krea Martin had 17 kills and two aces to lead the Olympians (4-6, 2-1). Caroline Frost notched two solo and three assist blocks, and Chloe Gilley tallied 17 digs.
Also for East, Frost pounded four kills, and Lilah Klei added three kills and one solo and on assist block. Kimberly Carothers had one solo and three assist blocks, Addison Emery contributed seven digs and seven aces, Guse notched four digs and Lauren Smith added four digs one ace.
