NORTH VERNON — Jennings County won the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles matches Monday, but Scottsburg took the other three to claim a 3-2 boys tennis victory.
Parker Bales beat Jonah Copple 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles for the Panthers (2-7). Ryan Schuck and Ty Zohrlaut topped Noah Bagwell and Mayson Cutter 3-6, 7-5, (10-8) at No. 1 doubles.
Jennings’ Isaac Lightner fell to Jace Luttrell 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, and Rider Ruddick lost to Jarin Luttrell 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. Brady Sentz and Cole Skinner fell to Justin Craig and Sammy Craig 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
