NORTH VERNON — Jennings County won the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles matches Thursday, but Seymour took the other three to post a 3-2 win in the consolation round of the Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament.
Parker Bales beat Joe Schmidt 6-2, 7-6 (1) at No. 1 singles for the Panthers (3-14). Ryan Schuck and Ty Zohrlaut topped Shun Taakeuchi and Joel Stevens 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
Jennings’ Isaac Lightner fell to Parker Thompson 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and Gavin Low lost to Carter Stein 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Brady Sentz and Rider Ruddick fell to Drew Handloser and Xavier DuBois 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
