JACKSON COUNTY — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction Company, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 135 beginning next week for a culvert replacement in Jackson County.
On or after Monday, State Road 135 will close to traffic approximately one mile north of the State Road 58 intersection in Freetown. The closure is expected to last up to 30 days, weather permitting. Traffic will be routed along the official detour, which follows State Road 58 to State Road 258 to State Road 11 to I-65 to State Road 46.
This project is part of a $4.5 million contract awarded to Force Construction in May 2023. INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use caution and drive distraction-free in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
