Candidate meet and greet set for Monday

Columbus voters will have another chance next week to learn more about the people on the ballot for the Nov. 7 election.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbus, Indiana will host a candidate meet and greet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday. The church, which is located at 7850 W. Goeller Boulevard, is co-sponsoring this nonpartisan event with The League of Women Voters, Brown County/Bartholomew County (LWVBC).

All Columbus municipal candidates on the ballot are invited to attend and may distribute campaign materials. Offices on the ballot are Columbus mayor, city council races and the city clerk race.

LWVBC President Shari Frank estimated that about 10 candidates had said they would attend.
