Ivy Tech Community College – Columbus nursing students are holding an event to help community members prioritize their physical well-being.
Nursing program students will host a Community Health and Wellness Fair from from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Moravec Hall, 4475 Central Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
The fair will include:
- Blood pressure screenings and blood glucose screenings
- Education on stroke prevention, diabetes, colon cancer screenings, and general health and wellness
- Flu and pneumonia vaccines in partnership with the Bartholomew County Health Department
- Representatives from local health and wellness organizations, including Columbus Regional Health, WellConnect, Greensburg YMCA, Family Chiropractic, and mental health resources
