NORTH VERNON — Columbus East and Jennings County kicked off the girls wrestling season Tuesday night in a triple dual at Jennings.
The host Panthers fell to Jeffersonville 42-33 in the opening match. The Olympians then beat Jeffersonville 42-30 and Jennings 27-21.
Taylor Engelking (110 pounds), Madison Mount (140), Lucynda Destin (155) and Grace McMahon (190) all went 2-0 for East. Going 2-0 for the Panthers were Kaylee Hatton (105), Sasha Hicks (115), Mackynzi Harris (170) and Bresa Coan (235).
