Thrive Alliance has received $1.2 million in low-income housing tax credits from Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) for an affordable, senior apartment complex in Terre Haute.
The funds will enable Thrive Alliance and partner Jonesboro Investments to move forward with construction of Heritage Landing, a 64-unit affordable, senior apartment complex planned to be located at 801 N. 25th St. in Terre Haute.
“We are pleased to have IHCDA provide funding to move this important project forward,” said Mark Lindenlaub, Thrive Alliance Executive Director. “This is a very exciting project for the Housing Services division of Thrive Alliance in being able to help address the need for affordable housing in communities throughout Indiana.”
Lindenlaub expressed appreciation at the cooperation of local officials in helping bring the project to fruition. “City of Terre Haute elected officials, as well as our colleagues at Thrive West Central, have been greatly supportive of this project since its inception. We are pleased with the confidence they have shown in Thrive Alliance and our partners to bring this new housing unit to their community.”
Formed 33 years ago as Housing Partnerships in Columbus, Indiana, Thrive Alliance Housing Services now manages more than 100 affordable rental homes as well as five multi-unit complexes in Columbus, Greensburg and Seymour. Heritage Landing will be Thrive Alliance Housing Services’ first major affordable housing project outside its traditional service area.
