Columbus North junior Neal White has been named to the Boys Class 4A All-State cross-country team by the Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches.
Bull Dog senior Akot Tong is a Boys Class 4A honorable mention selection.
North junior Carys Glyn-Jones has been named honorable mention by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association and to the Girls Class 4A honorable mention list by the IATCCC.
Harris, Scott named to All-State teams
Columbus East senior Nadia Harris has been selected second-team All-State in soccer by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association.
Olympian senior Taylor Scott was named third-team All-State.
East boys basketball starts Tuesday
While Columbus North and Hauser played their boys basketball season openers a week ago, Columbus East begins its season Tuesday night under new coach Perry Nash.
The Olympians will host Whiteland in the season opener, with a JV tipoff at 6 p.m. and the varsity game to follow at around 7:30 p.m.
North wrestling match rescheduled
The Columbus North season-opening wrestling dual meet with Decatur Central that was originally scheduled for Wednesday has been moved to Dec. 7.
The Bull Dogs will now open the season at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Bloomington South Duals.
North-Jennings game rescheduled
The Jennings County at Columbus North boys basketball game that was originally scheduled for Dec. 6 has been moved to Jan. 16.
The JV game will start at 6 p.m., with the varsity game to follow at around 7:30 p.m.
