The Columbus Board of Works will consider the donation of InterOculus to the city of Columbus in a meeting this morning at city hall.

The board of works meets at 10 a.m. in the city council chambers.

InterOculus, at Fourth and Washington streets, was designed by PAU | Practice for Architecture and Urbanism, Vishaan Chakrabarti, Ruchika Modi, Mark Faulkner, Skylar Bisom Rapp, Harry Ross, Julia Lewis and Eric Peters.

It was part of Exhibit Columbus’ “Public by Design” exhibition as a Miller Prize winner.

The InterOculus canopy served as the location for many Exhibit Columbus celebrations over the course of the exhibition this year, which ended Sunday.

According to the agreement being considered, all intellectual propery rights, including copyright, to InterOculus are being retained by PAU, along with the right to file future patents and copyrights associated with the installation’s design.

For more on the donation, and whether other installations will be staying in Columbus, see Wednesday’s Republic.
