COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Henry F. Logston, 83, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 12:55 p.m. Thursday, November 23, 2023, at Willow Crossing Health &Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Logston was born in Brodhead, Kentucky, January 30, 1940, the loving son of Jerry and Dessie Hicks Logston. Henry married Phala Carlton March 9, 1968; she survives.
Mr. Logston served our country in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.
Mr. Logston was an industrial engineer; he had worked at Cummins Engine Company and he retired from Reliance Electric after many years of service.
Mr. Logston was a faithful member of Parkside Baptist Church.
Mr. Logston’s life will be cherished by his wife of 55 years, Phala; children, Teresa (Mike) Palmer of Columbus and Jeff (Edie) Logston of Columbus; grandchildren, Morgan Palmer of Clearwater, Florida, Logan Palmer of Columbus, Cameron (Linnea) Logston of Columbus and Emmersen Logston of Columbus; and sisters, Carol (Mel) Rudicel of Columbus and Fern (Mike) Reeves of Columbus.
Mr. Logston was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.
A private graveside service will be held at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery; Pastor Rick Hillard will officiate. There is no visitation planned.
