Columbus City Hall was filled with well-wishers Friday night as city employees, family and friends celebrated the upcoming retirement of Columbus Mayor Jim Lienhoop and the city’s Executive Director of Public Works Dave Hayward.
Lienhoop is leaving office this month after serving eight years as Columbus mayor. Hayward earlier stepped down as city engineer and is retiring from his public works job.
Lienhoop and Hayward thanked their co-workers, families and friends and the residents of Columbus for their support.
