COLUMBUS
Harriett “Flossie” E. Jackson, 82, of Columbus, passed from this life at 4:24 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at her home.
Flossie was born January 30, 1941, in North Vernon, the daughter of John J. and Margaret L. Colbert Peck.
She was known as a free spirited and spunky lady who lived life to the fullest.
She enjoyed completing puzzles, but more than anything spending time with family.
Survivors include her children, Mark Peck, Twanette (George) Lawson, Eric (Maria) Peck and Donnie (Lynn) McNeill all of Columbus; grandchildren, Sharron Peck, Mark Perry, Marcus (Sabrienne) Peck, John (Theresa) Cox, Justin (Jamie) Cox, Jená Peck, Olivia McNeill, Neisha, Aaliyah and Trenton Lawson, Kasey Griffin and Andy Hall and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Jackson; grandson, Andre Peck and a great-granddaughter, Naomi Cox.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2023, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Cassandra Nicholson officiating.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
She will be laid to rest at Garland Brook Cemetery.
