Olympians fall to Stars

BEDFORD — Columbus East was within six points at halftime Friday night before Bedford North Lawrence caught fire.

The Stars went 6 of 6 from 3-point range in the third quarter and pulled away for a 71-38 Hoosier Hills Conference boys basketball victory. BNL outscored the Olympians 43-16 in the second half after leading 28-22 at the break.

Carter Patterson led East (2-2, 0-1) with 12 points. Jack Fischvogt added nine.
