AJGA tournament raises more than $100,000 for Foundation For Youth

Organizers with an American Junior Golf Association tournament have presented Foundation for Youth with a little more than $100,000.

FFY welcomed the AJGA committee to its headquarters on Wednesday and received a donation from this year’s Circle K Junior Championship, which was held at Otter Creek Golf Course in June.

“Executive Director Chuck Kime was delighted to accept a check for $101,091.00 from John Fairbanks, 2023 tournament committee chair, and Kevin Merritt of Circle K, Title Sponsor,” foundation officials said. “In its 12th year, the local tournament has chosen FFY as a charitable partner since 2018.”

With the support of Circle K and event sponsors, the AJGA has donated over $232,000 to FFY to support scholarships for kids in Bartholomew County over the past six years.

Kime thanked the volunteer committee, Circle K and this year’s event sponsors for their “tireless work to make this the most successful event to date,” the foundation said.

“Our goal is to ensure those kids who need us the most have access to FFY programming,” Kime said. “This support today will make a significant impact on our ability to achieve that goal in the coming year. We are honored to be the beneficiaries of AJGA’s continued support, and we deeply appreciate their ongoing commitment to kids.”
