ASAP, Alliance for Substance Abuse Progress is announcing its collaboration with Soul’s Truth Coaching for a community-wide Dry January challenge as part of its Rethinking Wellness initiative.

Led by certified Empowerment Coach, Skye Nicholson, this 30-day challenge aims to enhance community wellness by helping participants explore how shifting their relationship with alcohol can positively impact overall mental and physical wellbeing.

Skye’s guidance draws upon the principles outlined in Annie Grace’s best-selling book “The Alcohol Experiment.”

Participants will delve into practices such as identifying triggers, managing cravings, and examining subconscious beliefs around alcohol’s role in life and relationships.

“We’re excited to offer this opportunity for individuals to reevaluate their relationship with alcohol and explore how it affects their overall well-being,” said Nicholson. “Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where participants can gain insights, tools, and strategies to navigate their alcohol-free journey with confidence.”

Participants in the challenge will receive daily emails from Nicholson corresponding to themes in “The Alcohol Experiment,” along with several weekly inspirational videos. Additionally, a weekly group Zoom meeting will foster community support, allowing participants to seek guidance and share experiences.

Viewpoint Books is also partnering with ASAP and Soul’s Truth Coaching to offer discounted copies of “The Alcohol Experiment” for Dry January along with other recommended books to help participants reset and refresh for 2024. All are invited to follow ASAP’s social media for posts and Reels tied to Dry January topics for additional learning and sharing with others who participate.

“We aim to create a ripple effect within the community by encouraging open conversations around alcohol and wellness,” Nicholson added. “Through education, support, and a communal approach, we aspire to create positive change and promote

mindful choices.”

Registration for the “Dry January with Soul’s Truth Coaching” challenge is now open and starts on Jan. 1st, 2024. Visit https://asapbc.org/dryjanuary for more information.
