COLUMBUS, Ind. — The National Weather Service has included Bartholomew County in the area for potential light snow accumulations through Friday.

Bartholomew County Emergency Management says there is a low probability (10 to 40 percent) that Bartholomew County will receive more than a tenth of an inch of snow on Thursday. There could be about a tenth of an inch of snow on the western edge of Bartholomew County on Friday.

The National Weather Service says precipitation will begin later Wednesday as rain with the timing of snow potential from 7 p.m. Thursday to 1 a.m. Friday.

Snow accumulation may occur on grassy and elevated areas although even small amounts of snow may affect road conditions. Allow extra time for starting and stopping and allow additional distance between your car and the car in front of you.
