TAYLORSVILLE
Joseph Michael Sharp, age 69 years, a resident of Taylorsville, IN, passed away January 14, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness. Michael was born December 2, 1954 in Gary, IN to the late Daniel and Freda Watson Sharp. He graduated from Columbus North High School, Class of 1975, and worked for Kings Table Restaurant and later for Sparkle Car Wash for many years. He was a lifetime member of The Sanctuary, 3939 Central Ave., Columbus, IN, where visitation will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m.
Michael is survived by his brother, Rev. Gerald K. Sharp (Penny); sister, Dana E. Jones (Gregory); two nieces, Kristen L. Lee (Justin) and Elana Danielle Jones; nephew, Gentry K. Sharp (Abigail); two great-nieces, Piper Lee and Ellis Sharp; and an aunt, Dorothy Oliver (Darryl).
Final care and arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 E. Thompson Rd., Indianapolis.
