COLUMBUS
Terry L. Jessie, aged 65, a longtime resident of Columbus, passed away at 10:49 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
The son of William (Bill) Thomas and Nettie Pearl Fields Jessie, Terry was born October 16, 1958, in Glasgow, Kentucky.
Terry liked to be outdoors whenever he had the chance. Doing yard work such as mowing the lawn or raking leaves or even simply going for a walk, Terry found happiness being outdoors. Tinkering with radios, trimmers and lawn mowers was also something he found enjoyment in. When he wasn’t tinkering, Terry loved to watch wrestling on TV. In fact, it was best to give him a “little space” during those wrestling matches because of his excitement over the sport. He will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his mother, Nettie; brothers, Larry (Debbie) Jessie, Tim (Cheyenne) Jessie, both of Columbus; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William; brother, Gene; niece, Whitney Jessie and great-niece, Savanna Jessie.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Garland Brook Cemetery with Rev. Larry Fields officiating.
