National Weather Service says accumulating snow is forecast for tonight into Friday

COLUMBUS, Ind. — The National Weather Service and Bartholomew County Emergency Management are notifying the community that a winter weather system is expected to bring up to 2 inches of snow to portions of west central, central, east central and south central Indiana Thursday night through Friday morning.

Slippery road conditions could occur with even small accumulations due to predicted arctic cold overnight.

A wind chill advisory will be in effect from 7 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday, with wind chills at 15 below zero possible.
