East Central rallies past Olympians

ST. LEON — Columbus East led by as many as 13 points early in the second half Friday, but East Central rallied for a 43-41 boys basketball victory.

The Olympians (4-11) led 35-26 entering the fourth quarter, but the Trojans took a 42-41 lead with 2:20 remaining. East had several chances to take the lead or tie after that, but couldn’t convert.

Ethan Bumbalough led the Olympians with 10 points. Keaton Lawson scored nine points, Danny Coriden had eight points and Carter Patterson added eight points and 12 rebounds.
