The search for a new Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. superintendent will begin during a special meeting on Monday night.
Current BCSC Superintendent Jim Roberts is retiring at the end of the school year to take a new position as vice president of the Community Education Coalition. Roberts had been superintendent for eight years.
The board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the administration building in the Terrace Room.
“We are going to get some help with the search process. It is the intent of the board to have somebody in place by the time Dr. Roberts moves on July 1 and there’s a lot of steps that need to happen,” Board President Nicole Wheeldon said at the end of the meeting last week.
According to the agenda, the board will enlist Indiana State’s Dr. Terry McDaniel and The University Search Team to assist them in finding a replacement. They also intend to establish a timeline for the search.
