FLOYDS KNOBS — Class 4A No. 5 Jennings County advanced to Saturday’s Floyd Central Sectional girls basketball final with a 56-39 semifinal win against Jeffersonville on Friday.
The Panthers (23-3) led only 25-20 at halftime before pulling away by outscoring the Red Devils 20-9 in the third quarter.
Juliann Woodard led Jennings with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Alivia Elmore scored 16, and Maddy McIntosh added eight.
The Panthers will face Bedford North Lawrence in tonight’s sectional final.
