2014

The 24th annual Taste of Chocolate fundraiser at the FairOaks Mall attracted around 2,000 people with its more than 30 vendors selling pies, cakes, cookies, torts and other chocolate treats. The fundraiser generated several thousand dollars to benefit Reading Is Fundamental and Youth Leadership Bartholomew County.

1999

The City of Columbus recognized its “unsung heroes,” who ranged from Jeanne Carteaux, city clerk-treasurer, to the city services crew members who braved snow and ice to ensure city residents’ trash could be picked up.

1974

Columbus North High School students participated in a salesmanship class taught by Barbara Snyder. The class included eight- to 12-minute demonstrations graded by Snyder and critiqued by classmates.
