Three juveniles arrested after police investigate stolen vehicle that hit a Columbus apartment building

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Three juveniles were arrested after a suspected stolen vehicle was crashed into a Columbus apartment building early Sunday morning.

At approximately 3:10 a.m., CPD officers responded to the area of 93 Salzburg Blvd., at the
Steinhurst Manor Apartments, regarding a dark colored Kia Soul that had crashed into an apartment building causing minor damage, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus PoliceĀ  Department spokesman.
Officers arrived in the area moments later and detained three 16-year-old juveniles who had fled from the vehicle on foot. A short time later, the officers determined that the license plate on the Kia was stolen, Harris said. Upon closer inspection, the officers noted that the ignition on the Kia was altered and damaged and the vehicle was also likely stolen, Harris said.
The three juveniles were transported to the Bartholomew County Juvenile Youth Services Center where they were remanded on the following offenses:
–Possession of Stolen Property
–Resisting Law Enforcement
–Curfew Violation
