Scott Taskey of Columbus was honored as the No. 1 agent in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky for 2013.

Columbus resident Melissa Kirk was able to return a heart charm she had found 22 years earlier to Julie Schuette, its rightful owner. Kirk had found the charm along the banks of Haw Creek with other neighborhood children in 1977.

Henry F. Schoonover, co-owner of the Schoonover and Eddy Lumber Company at 111 Third St. for many years, celebrated his 101st birthday at the Columbus Convalescent Center. When asked about his secret to long life, Schoonover said “I never cheated anyone in all my life.”
