Cougars fall to Wood Memorial in regional

CAMPBELLSBURG — Trinity Lutheran girls basketball saw its season come to an end Saturday with a 62-49 loss to Wood Memorial in the West Washington Regional.

The Cougars (14-12) led 13-10 after one quarter, but the Trojans scored the first 13 points of the second period and took a 25-17 lead at halftime. Wood Memorial built the lead to as many as 16 in the second half.

Freshman Marley Warren led Trinity with 22 points. Liza Froedge scored 14, and Madison Keith added nine in her first game back after missing 10 games with a PCL injury.
