Emma Jean Riddle

FISHERS, INDIANA

Emma Jean Riddle, 94, of Fishers, formerly of Columbus, died at 1:43 p.m., February 8, 2024 at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers, Indiana.

Emma Jean was born in Oakland City, Indiana on November 2, 1929, the daughter of Virgil and Lucy (Orange) Woolsey. She married Paul Riddle June 7, 1952 in Oakland City, Indiana and he passed away on May 24, 2020 in Noblesville.

She was a graduate of the Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Evansville, IN and had a career as a surgical nurse. After marriage to Paul, they moved to Columbus and she became a school nurse for Bartholomew Consolidated School System. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, David A. (Anne Hite) Riddle of Noblesville; a daughter, DeAnn (Andy) Martin of Georgetown, IN; grandchildren Shaleen (Michael) Blume of Fishers, IN, Jenelle (Geoff) Brady of Fishers, Delaney Riddle (fiancé Chris) of Nashville, TN; and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kelsey Lynn Martin; her parents; her husband, Paul and a sister Kathleen Saulmon.

A private graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at Garland Brook Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
