COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Robert L. Stroman Sr., 77, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 3:02 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
Robert was born in Titusville, Florida, October 22, 1946, the loving son of Earl and Gracie Pittman Stroman. On February 22, 1973, Robert married Alisa K. Hendrickson; she survives.
Robert had a 40 year career with Duke Energy retiring as a Substation “A” Mechanic. Robert was a faithful member and deacon at Calvary Community Church in Columbus. Robert had a passion for cooking and was an avid fisherman always enjoying his trips to Canada. Robert will be remembered as a family man who loved his wife, kids and his entire family and he will be missed by all.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 51 years, Alisa K. Stroman; daughter, Melody Stroman of Columbus; son, Robert Stroman Jr. of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Alisa Stroman of Columbus; siblings, Louise Stroman of Titusville, Florida, Mike (Georgia) Stroman of Indianapolis, Vernon Stroman of Titusville, Florida, Ronnie Stroman of Titusville, Florida, Allen (Dana) Stroman of Titusville, Florida and Sheryl Stroman of Titusville, Florida; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gracie Stroman; daughter, Nanette Nicole Stroman; and five siblings.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Bishop Charles A. Sims and Pastor Frank J. Griffin will officiate.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, cremation will take place.
