COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Emergency Management says the National Weather Service is predicting snow for Indiana on Friday, with the precipitation beginning after sunrise across northern portions of central Indiana Friday morning, and then spreading south and east in the afternoon.

One to two inches of snow is forecast, with the highest amounts expected in the Interstate 70 corridor. Locally higher amounts are possible, especially from the I-70 corridor south to Bloomington and Columbus.

The snow may impact the late afternoon rush hour around the state.

Cold temperatures Friday night could cause lingering water on roads to freeze.
