Realtor Sanders wins Good Neighbor award

Columbus Realtor Sarah Sanders has been honored with the Good Neighbor Award presented by the Crossroads Association of Realtors.

Sanders, a team leader/associate at RE/MAX Real Estate Professionals in Columbus, recently received the award, which recognizes a dedicated member who has made a substantial positive impact on their community through volunteer work and financial support to nonprofit organizations.

Among Sanders’ contributions are her nine years of service on the board of Love Chapel, where she also has coordinated special events for two years.

“Her commitment to the community is evident in her weekly efforts to gather food from volunteers, donors, and restaurants which is utilized to provide hot meals for 75 people every Friday night,” Crossroads said of Sanders’ work on behalf of Love Chapel. “In addition to her ongoing work, Sarah successfully collaborated with a local barbershop to offer haircuts and engaged the health department to provide free vaccines at the meal site. This demonstrates her innovative approach to addressing various needs within the community.”

The Good Neighbor Award celebrates individual efforts but also serves as a source of inspiration for others to contribute positively to their communities. “Sarah exemplifies the spirit of this award through her selfless dedication, and her story serves as a testament to the positive impact that individuals can have when they invest their time, talents, and resources for the greater good,” Crossroads said.

Sanders received a trophy, and Ruoff Mortgage donated $500 to Love Chapel in her honor as part of the Good Neighbor Award.
