Heritage Fund announces grant awards

Heritage Fund recently awarded $45,476 in grants from the Community Fund to local nonprofit organizations as part of its fourth-quarter grants cycle.

Grant recipients are:

• Love Chapel – $16,700 to support website development and support

• Indiana University Columbus – $12,150 to support iEngage civics camp

Through the generous support of community members, HFBC annually distributes approximately $600,000 to $700,000 in grants to local nonprofits from the unrestricted Community Fund. Community Fund grants help HFBC to meet emerging needs in Bartholomew County in the areas of Youth Development, Downtown Vibrancy, Arts/Culture/Architecture/Design and Responsive Community Need.

In addition to these Community Fund grants, other grants awarded this quarter include:

• Leadership Bartholomew County – $995 for program scholarships

• Game Changer, Inc. – $2,500 to support documentary on The Republic newspaper

• Indiana University Foundation – $200 to support IU Columbus Pride Pantry

• International Community Development Inc. of Columbus – $750 for sponsorship MLK Day 2024

• kidscommons – $1,000 sponsorship for Carnivale 2024 quarterly grants deadline are March 1, June 1, September 1 and December
