Olympians fall at Floyd Central

FLOYDS KNOBS — Columbus East’s regular season came to an end Wednesday night with an 82-53 Hoosier Hills Conference loss at Floyd Central.

The game was tied 13-13 in the final minute of the first quarter before the Highlanders closed the period with a 3-pointer to take the lead for good. Floyd Central then outscored the Olympians 51-21 over the next two periods.

Keaton Lawson led East (6-16, 0-6) with 11 points, all in the first half. Jack Fischvogt and Ethan Bumbalough each added nine.

Carter Patterson grabbed five rebounds for the Olympians, who were outrebounded 38-17.
