COLUMBUS
Steven R. Streit, 71, of Columbus, passed from this life Saturday, February 24, 2024, at his home.
Mr. Streit was born August 23, 1952, in Jackson County, the son of Elmer L. and Doris M. Kelley Streit.
Steven was the founder and former owner of Midwest Tool and Engineering for 20 years.
Survivors include his children, Misti Streit, Kimberly (Jeremy) Smith and Matthew Streit all of Columbus; six grandchildren; and his best friend, Dolly.
In keeping with Mr. Streit’s wishes, cremation will take place and no services are planned.
