She began as an elementary teacher at Parkside Elementary for first, second and third grades. McIntrye went on to become an elementary curriculum specialist for BCSC and assistant principal at Clifty Creek. She has been director of BCSC pre-K since 2022.

“I did grow up in this district, it feels very much like home to me, and in Columbus I have worn many hats at BCSC in serving our student and teaching population in several ways, but I have a feeling that this is going to be my favorite hat so far,” she said.

McIntyre starts in her new role on July 1.
