Bartholomew County Emergency Management: Severe thunderstorms possible Thursday

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Emergency Management says Bartholomew County has a potential for severe thunderstorms to move through the area on Thursday.
• Some severe thunderstorms are possible on Thursday, mainly Thursday afternoon into Thursday night.
• Thursday will see scattered to numerous showers and storms during the day, with widespread showers and storms Thursday night.
• Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible tonight, with small hail and lightning the primary threats from these.
• This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week. The Statewide Tornado Drill was Tuesday and the county’s tornado sirens were sounded. Tuesday’s test was the ONLY one scheduled this week. If the sirens sound Thursday, it will be for an actual threat of tornado and you should seek shelter immediately.
