Steve Haines, a 10-year member of the Indiana Astronomical Society, will present a free lecture on the April 8 total solar eclipse at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Bartholomew County Historical Society Museum, 524 3rd St. in Columbus. He also serves as chairman of he society’s eclipse committee.
In the presentation, Haines will cover what an eclipse is; eclipses in history; how to safely observe the eclipse; how to photograph the eclipse; what to expect the day of the eclipse and more.
