Saint Francis rallies past Crimson Pride

FORT WAYNE — Saint Francis scored seven runs in the bottom of the seventh to overcome an 8-5 deficit and held on for a 12-8 baseball win against IU Columbus on Tuesday.

Lucas Slager went 2 for 4, Wyatt Sutton went 2 for 6 with a double and John Codner and Aidan Hapner each had two RBIs for the Crimson Pride. Jennings County graduate Austin Martin, the seventh of eight IUC pitchers, took the loss.

The Crimson Pride (8-20) will visit Brescia (Kentucky) for a single game Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday, then return home for a game with Wright State Lake Campus on Tuesday.
