This is one time of year when you can put all your eggs in one basket.

But you need to know that one of the area’s biggest Easter egg hunts has a new location.

The 65th Annual WCSI Community Easter Egg Hunt with the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department will now unfold at the Circle K Fieldhouse at Nexus Park, 2224 25th St. in Columbus.

The popular, free, bring-your-own-basket event for youngsters is scheduled March 30 in two segments: a 10 a.m. general hunt for children 8 years old and younger and another, separate hunt at 11 a.m. that organizers set up for what they call “eggs-ceptional” children — “including but not limited to sensory or mobility,” as they put it.

The hunts generally finish in a matter of minutes, but parents have said that the memories last for years.

Attendees can come early to visit with the Easter Bunny, plus the Columbus Police Department, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, and the Columbus Fire Department and their vehicles. There will be four age-designated areas with thousands of Easter eggs.

The Meridian Kiwanis Club also helps with the event.
