The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office is continuing an investigation into a body found in shallow water near a river bank at the Lowell fishing site at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
No foul play is suspected, said sheriff department spokesman Dane Duke. Bartholomew County Coroner Clayton Nolting said it is being investigated as a possible death by suicide.
The identity of the male who was found is not being released until next of kin has been notified, Nolting said. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, Nolting said.
