Sheryl J. Cody, 76, of Franklin, formerly of Columbus, passed from this life at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the home of her daughter, Wilma Riddle.
Mrs. Cody was born August 4, 1947, in Columbus, the daughter of Joseph Charles and Wilma Frances Rayburn Hudson.
Sheryl retired in 2009 from Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus.
Survivors include her children, Sandra (Gary) Norris of Robards, KY, Thomas (Gladys) George of Scipio, Wilma (Mark) Riddle of Franklin and William (Wendy) Cody III of Indianapolis; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her sisters, Susan Rouse of TN and Francis (Robert) Loucks of FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cynthia Miller; and brothers, her twin Michael Hudson and brother, Joseph Hank Charles Hudson.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with her son ,Thomas George and daughter-in-law, Gladys Geroge officiating.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 11:00 a.m. to time of service Friday at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest at Garland Brook Cemetery.
